A Guide on How to Maintain the Cleanliness of Your Marquee Hall

Maintaining the cleanliness of your marquee is a tedious task. Yet, it is extremely important. Cleaning and maintaining your marquee from your time to time reduces the depreciation costs. That too, to a huge extent. If you're looking for how to clean your marquee hall then you’re at the right place.

There are many marquee reception halls in south Houston that use different cleaning techniques. A marquee reception hall for Quinceaneras or weddings, after the event will definitely need to be cleaned. Functions held in a rainy season may eventually cause the marquee to get muddy. Mud splatters on the sides or food tossed against the walls. Also grey film usually builds up by time on the covers of marquee making it look very old and tired. The mud splatters can be washed away easily. But grey film is a bit harder when it comes to cleaning. If you're looking for a clean marquee reception hall then the marquee reception halls in Houston are worth the look.

       Cleaning Splashed Mud

In this case you need a power washer and a huge tub of traffic film remover (TFR). Traffic film remover is a concentrated washing liquid which is easily available. It is usually used for cleaning the lorry sides. You can also use steam cleaners instead of power wash. But here comes the budget point, steam cleaners are expensive for use as compared to power wash. Moreover, Steam cleaners may also be a bit difficult to handle in comparison to power washes.

The method for using power wash and Traffic Film Remover is easy. First you will need to power wash the marquee with diluted TRF. By doing this the mud is removed However, if there are any stubborn stains then for that you can pour undiluted TFR directly onto that stain. Wait for up to five to ten minutes, then wash it off. That's an easy process, isn't it?!

Even on the day of an event you can keep a small, diluted amount of traffic film remover in a spray bottle along with a cloth. If there are any small stains on the tablecloth or chair then you can clean it quickly.

       Cleaning Grey Film

Grey film builds over time, and it makes the marquee look grey and aged. For cleaning this you will need a traffic film remover. However, in this case you won't use a diluted solution for cleaning. You will need to spray TFR directly on the area and leave it for about five to ten minutes. After the waiting time is over, use a stiff brush over the area on which you put TFR. You can also use an electric floor cleaner which is usually seen in cleaning supermarkets.

Once you've brushed all over the area then use a power wash and wash it off the marquee. Make sure to dry it off the marquee thoroughly. And voila! Back to a brand new looking marquee.

However, keep in mind that window material will show scratches if the brush or floor cleaner is used there. So just avoid using these and simply clean the windows with a cloth by using your hands. Also if your marquee is 'PVC backed' then avoid using brush or a floor cleaner. That is because the stiff brush or the floor cleaner may cause the marquee surface to flake away. If your marquee is of 'PVC laminate' then brush or floor cleaning technique is fine.

The better you take care of your marquee, the longer it can be of use. Hence minimizing the costs of depreciation. Also clean your marquee often to avoid accumulation of the mud or stains. If too many stains accumulate from a long time then they might not get off at all.
